She has acted for a wide range of corporate and individual clients, across a number of sectors including financial services, food, pharmaceuticals and education. Melanie has significant advocacy experience in the Employment Tribunal; other experience includes executive hiring and firing; team moves; complex employment issues arising out of corporate transactions including TUPE and post-acquisition harmonisation. She also has had significant involvement in the co-ordination of cross border matters involving collective redundancies, restructuring, data protection and European works councils.
Melanie is described by clients as calm and measured in her approach but always quick to respond. She is never phased by the sticky problems faced by employers and employees alike.
Melanie has written a number of books on employment law, notably Guide to Employment Law; Employment Law Made Easy; and Your Rights at Work, all published by Law Pack Publishing Limited. She has also been a regular speaker on employment law, and is happy to provide bespoke client seminars and workshops.
