Liza has had extensive experience advising a range of employer and employee clients. Her employer experience includes acting for start-ups, family run businesses, football clubs, public sector organisations, hotels, charities, financial services businesses, technology and telecommunications companies and AIM listed companies. On the employee side, Liza has acted for many individuals, including senior executives of listed companies, on a variety of employment law issues including terminations and bonuses.
On the non-contentious side, Liza is highly experienced in guiding both employers and employees through difficult employment law situations to achieve the best outcome possible. She particularly enjoys advising on grievance, disciplinary and redundancy processes. She also advises on all aspects of corporate transactions and has a particular interest in TUPE. Her experience also covers the drafting of all forms of employment documentation including service agreements, policies and employee handbooks.
On the contentious side, she has acted for clients in the Employment Tribunal, Employee Appeals Tribunal and the High Court on a wide range of issues including dismissal (unfair, wrongful and constructive), all forms of discrimination, working time, breach of contract and unlawful deductions.
Liza is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
